Kim Crawford Illuminate Rose is a rosé wine made from a blend of grape varieties. The grapes were carefully picked, separated from their stems, and delicately crushed to extract juice with minimal skin contact. The resulting wine has a bright color despite having minimal skin contact during the process. The juice was then cooled and fermented with specific yeast strains to preserve the unique characteristics of the grape variety. A special technique known as Spinning Cone was utilized to lower the alcohol content in a portion of the base wine. This method uses a low vacuum distillation process that selectively removes alcohol without altering the aroma of the wine. Approximately 60% of the final volume had the alcohol content reduced to less than 1%, with 40% of the base wine blended back in to achieve a final alcohol level of 7%.
