St. Kateri Tekakwitha lived in the 17th Century and was a member of the Mohawk Tribe. During her short lifetime, she lived in and around the Great Plains of the United States and Canada. St. Kateria was canonized by Pope Benedict XVI in 2012, and was known as the Lily of the Mohawks. She is beloved by both Americans and Canadians alike.
