Lochlea Our Barley Scotch Whisky Supply

This single malt Scotch whisky is produced at Lochlea in South Ayrshire in the Lowlands region of Scotland. It is the distillery s core expression and is made with 100% malted barley grown on the Lochlea farm, distilled on custom Forsyths copper pot stills. The whisky does not have an age statement and is aged in a combination of ex-bourbon, sherry, and STR (shaved, toasted, recharred ex-red wine) barrels. It has a nose of chewy granola bar and peaches & cream oatmeal and a palate of ripe bananas, guava, and mint leaf, followed by a finish of cold-pressed olive oil. It is not chill filtered and has an ABV of 46%. Lochlea is a new, independently owned distillery that is making a strong statement with this luxurious and nuanced whisky.
