The 2022 Edition of Komagatake Single Malt Whisky is produced by Mars Shinshu in Nagano, Japan. It is distilled in copper pot stills from 100% malted barley, which is a blend of unpeated and peated barley at a peat level of 3.5 parts per million. This whisky is non-age statement and is aged for 3-5 years in ex-bourbon, sherry, and port casks. It has delicate aromas of coconut husk, warm cereal, cedar plank, and milk chocolate, and a palate of gunpowder green tea, peach candies, and manuka honey. The Komagatake 2022 release is a limited edition in the US, with 9516 bottles available.
