The 2000 Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has a deeply saturated, bright red color with slight signs of bricking. The aromatics are youthful and dominated by tar, mulling spices and blueberry. It welcomes with dense, sweet fruit and brown sugar flavors on entry. Its flavors are tightly wound around the fruity core as the wine transitions to the mid-palate. While not overly broad, there is still incredible focus. This wine has above average length and a fantastic return of cherry flavors. Decanting suggested due to moderate sediment. Enjoy now through 2029.
