The Ridged Cowl Kit designed by Kira K is a wonderful beginner project. It introduces the skills of casting on, knit stitch and purl stitch, work in the round, bind off, and blocking. There are two variations – a long, thin cowl (see the blue (Steve in Erika Knight Maxi Wool) and the Sunstone (in Cedar House Yarns Windfall Super Bulky) models), and a shorter, deeper cowl (see the charcoal (Chaos in Erika Knight Maxi Wool) and the A Grass is Always Greener (in Cedar House Yarns Windfall Super Bulky) models).
